T-Touch Connect Sport: Tissot’s Solar-Powered Smart Watch Hit the Market
Tissot introduced its newest timepiece, the T-Touch Connect Sport, during the second week of November in the scenic Swiss town of Le Locle, accompanied by a marketing campaign that embodies the spirit of life's athletic endeavors and the diverse range of routes it presents.
The T-Touch is a perfect duo of functionality and style. It is a resounding testament to Tissot’s ongoing strive to tie fashion and utility in the same chord. This new unisex timepiece is made keeping active persons in mind who are always enthusiastic about fitness & well-being but at the same time admire a lucrative timepiece.
This Swiss-made watch is powered by the sun and quartz-driven. The high performing solar cells are subtly embedded in the 43mm watch dial. Thus, the watch face can accumulate energy for months. That means a user will get uninterrupted performance without demanding a recharge for over a month.
The watch will provide an interactive experience with its AMOLED screen that is responsive to both touch and side buttons. The screen is made of tactile sapphire glass. Running parallel to the spirit of an energetic soul, the Tissot T-Touch comes with an array of case colors and bezel.
The brand uses materials like ceramic and titanium to ensure durability. From receiving notifications to precisely tracking your workouts, the watch functions seamlessly in between. The sophisticated polished and brushed finishes also uphold the fashion appeal of this timepiece.
The supporting app will receive updates over the years which is pretty regular of course. However, the astonishing part is that the watch itself will receive updates in the coming years. The photovoltaic cell of this watch is quite innovative, and each cell provides energy correspondent to five button batteries. The cell is crafted with materials like silicon, aluminium, silver, glass, zinc oxide and resin.
These photovoltaic cells set a new standard in Switch solar-powered watchmaking by producing super performance in low-light conditions—thanks to Nivarox-FAR, a Swatch Group company that manufactured the watch. The solar cell’s durability is authenticated by techniques like laser dicing and drilling. Besides, each cell went through a very rigorous quality check to ensure performance under various lighting conditions.
The Connect Sport offers versatility with a titanium bracelet and silicone strap along with an interchangeable quick-release strap system. The price ranges between £950 to £1015 for various colors and models.
