Temporis International Award Goes to Flying Tourbillon Grande Date

In the start-up watch category, Bianchet has created a remarkable imprint. Their Flying Tourbillon Grande Date has been nominated for an award in the prestigious Temporis International Awards in Zurich. Bianchet is represented by the Devoy Group in the UK.

For the Best Startup Watch award, the new creation must be operational for a minimum of five years and acclaimed by renowned watchmakers and critics alike. The jury board of the Temporis International Awards is adorned with industry experts, journalists, retailers and influencers from throughout the planet. Some of the legendary watchmakers include

  •       Philippe Dufour
  •       Kari Voutillainen and
  •       Romain Gaultier

Before the final nomination, the jury board studies the watch’s last few years' business trends like the efficacy of distribution channels, after-sales service, pricing strategy and customer feedback. Bianchet’s horological creation which is made of a proprietary titanium flying tourbillon movement from titanium has caught the eyes of the jury board this year.

This timepiece has some similarities with Richard Mille’s six-figure watches or Omega’s new Seamaster Planet Ocean. However, Richard Mille’s RM 66 Flying Tourbillon is priced at over $1 million whereas Bianchet has kept its price at CHF 65, 500 plus applicable taxes.

Furthermore, Flying Tourbillon Grande Date follows well-accepted and age-old construction principles founded on the golden ratio as well as the Fibonacci sequence. Both its movement and case are guided by the same principle that signifies a sense of harmony and ageless design.

“We are profoundly honoured to be named ‘Best Start-Up Watch’ by the Temporis International Watchmaking Awards. This award recognizes the passion and dedication we invest in creating exceptional timepieces. Our Flying Tourbillon Grande Date symbolises our modern spirit and commitment to pushing the boundaries of watchmaking design and micromechanics,” says Rodolfo Festa Bianchet, CEO and founder of Bianchet.

The award will be handed over to this ultra-modern watch this November.
