The Citizen Eco-Drive 365 Runs One Full Year with a Single Charge

Citizen has been an industry leader in both horological innovation and design since its inception. This is even truer for its Eco-Drive movements, which have been at the forefront of innovative watchmaking ever since the company released its first quartz watch in 1973.

Citizen is again pushing watchmaker technology as it celebrates 50 years of quartz invention in 2023. This watch revolutionizes the brand's world-leading rechargeable movement technology powered by light. This timepiece promises to provide 365 days of reliable timekeeping on one full light-powered battery charge.

In addition to its groundbreaking durability, the Citizen Eco-Drive 365 offers meticulous accuracy, superb workmanship, and a compelling style at an astonishingly low price.

Since its introduction in 1976, the Eco-Drive technology has been the industry benchmark for solar-powered timepieces, and the company has continuously innovated upon the core principle.

There have been incremental improvements in the reservation of power, movement packaging, as well as precision over the years, but only a few have been as significant a technical advancement in the basic Eco-Drive technology as Eco-Drive 365.

Current Eco-Drive models have a six-month battery reserve after a full charge and a low-light power-saving mode. In contrast, the Citizen Eco-Drive E365 gives one year of power on a single charge.

Like its predecessor, this model can take quick charge--from 0% to 100% in less than 12 hours in reasonable light. Citizen's contemporary cohort of energy-efficient electronics and upgraded motors that drive the hands enable this large capability increase without power-saving mode in low light, making it even more astounding. Citizen also praises the +15/-15 seconds per month accuracy, allowing a half-second daily fluctuation.

Citizen unveils a unique and fashionable trio that represents this revolutionary new generation of Eco-Drive movements. Each of the three models has a prominent geometric shape that is expected to shine like a precious stone on the hand. They are each 42.5 mm broad and 11.1 mm thick, bold yet balanced.

But the Eco-Drive 365 series is all about capability, and these watches can dazzle in practically every environment with a strong 100-metre water-resistant capacity.

Similar to the casings, the Citizen Eco-Drive 365 series' dials are inspired by the Citizen 1970 model, but with a sophisticated, contemporary design. Citizen pairs each Eco-Drive 365 model with a distinct set of colorful straps.

For as long as it has been producing timepieces, Citizen remain at the forefront of technological development, and for the past fifty years, that development has focused on quartz technology.

The new Citizen Eco-Drive 365 line provides a hint into the future with its remarkable light-powered movement capabilities, scrupulous precision, and engaging style at an impressively inexpensive price point as the company prepares for the following 50 years of technological developments.
